Hi – great plug in, I love it. However, for the last 10 days or so whenever I log into WP it shows that the Easy Facebook Share plug in needs to be updated. I do that but the update info (that 1 in the black circle) does not disappear. Ever. Furthermore, it shows the plug in twice in the plug in overview. When I try to delete one of them, both are gone. Deactiving, de-installing, re-activating and re-installing does not work. Is there a general issue?

    Thanks a lot! Andy

  • Mine never updates either and it says it’s “BETA”

I have the same problem. It has existed for at least several days now.

Yeah it keeps saying to update, and when you update, it continues saying to update again… Very annoying…

    Hi there.
Sorry about this, this was a bug which mistakenly rolled out before the weekend. Kindly update the plugin again. If the problem persists, please disable the plugin, delete it (from the wordpress admin is ok) and reinstall it using the search feature. This should iron out this unfortunate quirk. Posting results or findings in this thread would help up alot!
Thanks for reporting it, we appreciate it. Stay tuned for our version 2.0!

Hi – I re-installed the plug in, debugged and it is working perfectly! Thank you so much – it really is a great plug in, makes it look so much better. One questions though if you don’t mind: When I debug on FB, I always get this message:

Object at URL ‘https://unknownmetalbands.com/’ of type ‘website’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: https://unknownmetalbands.com/, https://unknownmetalbands.com.

I have de-activated Open Graph already on WordPress SEO (Yoast) so I really don’t know where this multiple one comes from. Jetpack? Would you know what to do about it (something that does not involve CSS / code stuff ?? Thanks and have a great day. Andy
