Plubgin still maintained?

  • I am getting a Wordfence notification about an abandoned plugin, and I see the notice here on the plugin page that the plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress andmay no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

    Given that you, Maeve, joined Automattic as a Technical Account Engineer in 2018, I am as sure as I can be in the uncertain world, that either the plugin is still OK to use, or you can update it.

    Could I respectfully draw this to your attention and ask what the situation is? I find this plugin immeasurably useful.

    Thanks for the ping David. It’s definitely due for an update! I’m sure it still works but would be greatly improved with an update to the latest Woo templates. If you’ve been using it it’s perfectly safe to keep it enabled. I’ll schedule time to look at it and get that update done as soon as possible.

    Hi Maeve, Thanks so much for this Plugin – I love it! At the moment it’s not working
    for us though – emails are sending but not including the customised text. Is this related to David Bennett’s point??
