“Please wait while we detect your setup” hangs

At least one site that I manage auto-updated Really Simple SSL to the 6.0.11. It keeps wanting to do a setup dialog that says “Please wait while we detect your setup”, and then hangs. If I close the modal, the window shows empty panels behind it. I’ve deactivated, uninstalled – no change.
