    Thanks for your response. As a general rule of thumb, I do somehow agree. However, old code is not necessarily unsafe, only if a vulnerability is found. Also updates do not automatically make a plugin safer, only if the known vulnerabilities are patched.

    Although flaws can always happen, the security risk posed by this plugin is pretty low for the following reasons: No PHP dependencies (and thus nothing to update), no processing of user input except for a checkbox, very few lines of code.
