why plugin not work with WP 5.7?

I search “WP 5.7” jQuery and found:

jQuery 3.0+ and WP 5.7 compatibility

WordPress 5.7 is removing jQuery Migrate which means our JS needs to be compatible with jQuery 3.0+.

I’ve taken a look through all the JS files on this repo and couldn’t see any use of deprecated jQuery functions being used.
Seems like it’s all written in native JS bar a couple of lines??Helpful resources:

Solution: Review code that uses jQuery.type() and use a type check that is appropriate for the situation. For example. if the code expects a plain function, check for typeof arg === “function”.

Plugin “Collapsing-Categories” works normal on WordPress 6.0.1 with “Enable-jQuery-Migrate-Helper” !
I tested.

simple install “Enable-jQuery-Migrate-Helper” and use “Collapsing-Categories”

I apologize for being so slow. I have been working on updating the plugin to work with block themes, and I am nearly done. You can try out the development version here: (look at the bottom of the page)

You’ll need to upload the zip file to your site from the wp-admin/plugins menu, and then re-add the widget. I am using it currently on https://robfelty.com

this last update just broken the widget, please downgrade!
