It’s a pity that this plugin has not been updated in step with the changes made by Facebook.

Very few of the problems reported by users over the last months have been resolved.

Once this was the best Facebook Comments plugin available.

Hopefully the author will find time to update soon.

Please don’t ignore this plea for support.

    Thanks in advance.

    This issue has been resolved.

May I ask how did you solve the problem? How did you update the SDK so that we can follow your instruction?

I know that I can easily change the facebook comment plugin but I have been using this plugin for ages and still don’t want to abandon the ship yet if I could only find the way to make it work with Facebook new SDK.

    Thanks.

    Hi Aekio

To solve the problem I made a change to the file base_facebook.php in the following directory on line 120:

    /wp-content/plugins/seo-facebook-comments/facebook/base_facebook.php

    Change: abstract class BaseFacebook
    To: abstract class BaseFacebook_322

Let me know if this helps.

    Good luck

I just made tried that change.

It stopped the problem post from breaking the rest of the layout (the sidebar came back), but the facebook comments are not showing beneath the post.

My mistake, it didn’t work at all !!
