    The plugin hasn’t been updated for 2 years, it needs update to be compatible with current versions of wordpress etc…

    @theotheo we’ve tested this against WordPress 5.8 and things appear to work as normal. We have a couple other small changes we’re looking to bundle with that plugin readme update and then do a minor release, but you otherwise should be fine with Safe SVG 1.9.9 on WordPress 5.8.

    Great! Time to release an update anyway because users are getting a warning notification from wordpress regarding the plugins compatibility and safety. Not that the plugin actually has any issues but newbies are driven away when they see that notification.

    @jeffpaul PHP8 might be something to look into in terms of compatibility. WordPress 5.9 is supporting up to PHP8.1 but Safe SVG appears to be lacking PHP8 support at this point.
