This comment is very important. Care about it.
There are thousands of interesting ideas and possibilities that can be added to WooCommerce. But there is an important question. Is it really necessary to do this?
You added a new section to WooCommerce that shows information like this for orders. Thanks and I’m sure you put a lot of effort into it, but why?

    Referral order
    origin
    Organic: Google
    Hide details
    Source type
    organic
    UTM source
    google
    UTM medium
    organic
    device type
    Mobile
    Session page views
    6

WooCommerce is a heavy system in itself. The volume of the database is large and the database tables are irrelevant and crowded. There is still no possibility for WooCommerce to store product information and specifications in completely separate tables from the default WooCommerce post types, as with HPOS. To increase the speed of the site and the system, and to make its access and development better and faster for the site administrator and developer. There is still much more important work to be done.

There are a lot of developers who are really persistent and working hard.
But the problem is that as much as adding and developing new features should be given importance. Problems should not be ignored and old requests should be forgotten.
Also, you should not add every good idea that comes to your mind to WooCommerce! It should be considered that some new features may negatively affect the performance of other parts. Increase the volume of plugin codes, cause interference, and make the database crowded. Some of the added facilities may not be used by some people and…

I think facilities like this are the source of customer referrals, although it is important in terms of marketing and it is a good possibility. But while WooCommerce still needs optimization and its basic problems must be solved, it is an additional possibility and should not be added until those problems are solved.

Of course, this was just an example. I mean with other similar facilities as well.

I appreciate it and I don’t want to disappoint you. It is your grace that you do all this work for us for free and WooCommerce is still the best store-building system in the world. But I am thinking about getting better. To be a lighter and better version. To be unbiased.

We are still waiting for the optimization of the products section in the admin and client, the optimization of the products in the database, having separate tables for descriptions and tags and product categories. Tables like this wp_woocommerce_products_desc and wp_woocommerce_products_tags and wp_woocommerce_products_category and etc. that are easily available And WooCommerce becomes lighter and faster.

Of course, all the problems of being heavy and slow are not only related to WooCommerce. However, some of them that I explained above are related to WooCommerce.

however, I have an irony for the WordPress team. WordPress CMS has abandoned the development and improvement of its own infrastructure for a long time and has put all its strength into the development of the Gutenberg editor! (Unfortunately, we don’t need it and we don’t use it, and this editor never became popular). Ever since Gutenberg came out, the overall popularity of WordPress has decreased day by day, affecting overall satisfaction.
In every update, we only see a few security fixes and a bunch of changes in Gutenberg! Changes that are not needed and many still do not use Gutenberg and there are several million users who prefer the classic editor or are looking for a way to disable or escape from Gutenberg and it is difficult for them to work with Gutenberg and this editor is It is not at all user-friendly, and templates and plugins mostly support commercial (other than Gutenberg) or classic page builders.

    Good luck.

    Hi @paulvek,

Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we appreciate your time to share your thoughts.

Indeed, while we are always looking to innovate and add new features, we understand the importance of maintaining a balance. This includes ensuring that we don’t compromise on the performance or user experience of the existing system.

The new section you mentioned regarding order information is designed to provide valuable insights to the store owner, helping them understand their customer base better. However, we completely understand your concerns about the potential impact on the system’s performance.

However, have you had a chance to disable the Order Attribution feature? You can find it under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features. After disabling it, check if it resolves the performance issue.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hi @shameemreza

You have definitely done an important and great work and it is very important for marketing and selling the site. You were kind and worked hard and thank you.
Yes, I have seen this option in the plugin settings. My words were about time and giving importance to some other things like product optimization.
Of course, this will be a very big difficult, and challenging task. There is a possibility of many interactions in the products sector. until full compatibility… but the more it is left, the more it accumulates and the more difficult it will be in the future. If you can, please start working on product optimizations with your friends. Thank you very much. We are always grateful to you.
