    I found the fix:

    If you go in the back end with the product. You will be in the General tab. Select “Simple Product” enter the price. Then in the Shipping section, select the correct “Shipping Class” no one has been able to help me but I figured it our randomly after 5 days of no response. I am working with integration with a drop shipping plugin so the shipping is already configured for different variations.

    This works for products with only one option.
