Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t consider it a silly detail at all. Let me explain quickly why I landed on this route:
1. I started building the free add-ons to be examples for non-GiveWP developers to follow. When the add-on is NOT created by GiveWP, then the naming structure I provide here is necessary, even required, by WP.org — you can’t use brand names as the NAME of your plugin. But saying “Per Form Confirmations FOR GiveWP” is legit.
2. But then I ended up making these more official, and then decided to keep it this way anyway in order to still cite them as examples for others.
3. One other small caveat is that we’re slowing changing ALL the names of our GiveWP products to start with “GiveWP” instead of just “Give”, and that complicates this whole thing a bit.
I did NOT consider how the naming would impact site admins in the way you described, but I have experienced the confusion when I logged into one of my own sites assuming this plugin was there and didn’t see it jump out to me in the “Give” section — so, I get it.
I’ll continue to keep this in mind going forward as well though. Thanks!
