Why have you crammed site description into site “title”?
It makes no sense at all.
Please move it so it shows up as
    <meta name="description" content="....

    Thank you

Are you looking for support? Or is this just a request.

this is a request to fix Spun theme header.php file so we do not have to use child theme to fix this “bug”

It’s not a bug. It’s a perfectly valid design decision. The vast majority of WordPress themes do not generate meta description headers. And for good reason. There are plenty of SEO plugins for that.

Sure, if your description is 3 words long ??
If it’s any longer… it’s a bug (or at least invalid and shortsighted design decision)

Esmi, are you the maintainer/developer/author of this theme?

    esmi

    (@esmi)

No but I know the theme and I’m part of the theme review team. What you describe is not a bug. As I said previously, it’s a perfectly valid design decision. If it does not suit your needs, then perhaps you should consider switching to a different theme.

It’s worth discussing these requests with anyone using this theme before they’re implemented, as the change may not be in the interest of the greater community.

Themes submitted to the Theme Repository here are specifically forbidden to incorporate any SEO tags in their template files as this is deemed to be plugin territory.

“…then perhaps you should consider switching to a different theme.”

LOL, seriously? Never mind Theme Diva, forget I even asked to fix this.

I marked this as “resolved” (more like trolled to utter uselessness by “moderator”)

I don’t think that was trolling, Esmi understood that you didn’t want to create a Child Theme and that this request wasn’t going to be implemented and so there wasn’t a good option left for you.
