there is no obligation atg all to subscribe to the newsletter, the notice can be dismissed anyway just by clicking on the “X” icon on the top right corner of the box, just like any other notification.
Once that you have clicked on that icon, the notice won’t show up again.
I wan to state that no checks are made on whether the form was used to subscribe.
Should you encounter any issue in dismissing (it can happen if other plugins or themes raise errors preventing the dismissal via AJAX call) you can always disable the notification by visiting Settings
→Duplicate Post
, third tab Display
, then removing the tick in the last checkbox and saving the options.
If you experience any different behaviour from what’s been described above, can you please file a bug report telling us which other plugins are installed, what theme you are using, and the exact step to reproduce the issue?
