    Slides/images appear under each other

Usually it means that Smart Slider can’t load the required stylesheets into your site. Try to set “CSS and JavaScript load mode” mode into ‘Alternative #1’ and see if it works for you. See this option in the documentation

Blank area where the slider should show or the slider doesn’t work

It means that there is a JavaScript error on your site which blocks other scripts(for example Smart Slider’s scripts). You can open up the browser debugger window with F12 button and check the console if it shows error or not. If you solve these errors Smart Slider should work fine.

Usual problem is that you have the latest WordPress version, but your theme loads very old jQuery version (1.7 or older) and the WordPress admin bar throws a JavaScript error. In this case, you have to remove the old jQuery from your theme’s functions.php.

If you are unable to solve these problems, feel free to contact us!

    W3 Total Cache

W3 Total Cache plugin might empty the cache directory of Smart Slider (if you hit the clear cache button) which result the the Smart Slider can not load its stylesheet and JavaScript file.

To fix this, simply change the Nextend cache path to a different folder
See this option in the documentation

    Default value: cache/
You should set it something different, like: nextendcache/

I am a bit confused as I had this working and I updated the plugin not expecting this kind of issue.

I run the most recent update of wordpress and I use canvas. I have this live for my client at the moment and the sliders just all went down when I updated. I guess I should have read this support forum first ??

I am trying to find the F12 function on this darn mac and it does not seem to be giving me the debugging options for the plugin either.

I am looking for an updated jquery to check if that helps though any input would be appreciated. I am GMT+1 and I need it back up by morning if at all possible. Thank you.

Sorry to bother but I also updated with WP JQuery Plus and it is still not working…suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Still trying to find my debugging command as I typically just work off of what the site tells me if it goes down from changes…thank you.

I have the debugging and I am getting this: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/theimosw/public_html/hrdevent.com/wp-includes/functions.php:3006) in /home/theimosw/public_html/hrdevent.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 896

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to have this up live asap. I know you have many inquiries and you have a great plugin. I was just surprised when it was working fine this morning and when I updated it crashed. I have spent a couple hours on it and I am not extremely savvy, obviously, with these issues. Thanks again!
