Loco Translate is a translation file editor. It will work with any theme or plugin that has been set up correctly and built to WordPress Internationalization standards.

Due to the high volume of translation problems being reported on this forum, I can only respond to questions that are directly relevant to Loco Translate. If your question hasn’t been answered, it will be for one of these reasons.

What help is available?

I welcome genuine bug reports. Please post them, they help me make the plugin better.

Feel free to ask general questions about Loco Translate, how it works and what it does behind the scenes.

If you don’t know where to start, please read the beginner’s guide to translating a pre-prepared theme, or this guide to internationalizing your own child theme.

I will try to help with any translation problem where the theme or plugin is open source. Please post a download link so I can install it myself.

Please note there is no support for commercial products on this forum.

Before reporting a problem

Before starting a thread, please check if your issue is amongst the most asked questions. These questions have been asked dozens of times and your problem may have been solved before.

Please provide good diagnostics when reporting an issue and provide a download link for any theme or plugin that you’re translating.

If your situation is different to everything I’ve covered, please ensure your post explains why it’s different and why Loco Translate is responsible for the problem.
