The docs instruct to Please leave ‘Instagram Shopping’ unchecked..
Why? I also want to sync to Instagram. Is this not supported by this plugin currently?
What happens if this option is not disabled?

I don’t have any personal experience setting up a Facebook shop this way, and Facebook’s systems make it very hard to set up test stores, but I think that line is there because enabled Instagram at the beginning can cause connection issues during the onboarding process.

I would leave it unchecked during setup, but then go in later and try enabling it once the connection is established:

Let us know if that works! ??

I think it’s because now the catalogue from facebook syncs anyways with your instagram if you have connected the 2 profiles for the same business. Before that wasn’t the case.

    Hi @sunnysonic @strarsis ,

Indeed, you can use one catalog from Facebook and sync it with your Facebook Shop as well as Instagram. The advise to leave the “Instagram Shopping” option unchecked during setup is to prevent connection errors.

Do let us know if you have any further queries.
