Twice now I’ve installed WP 5.5 and all the plugin updates to be confronted with a blank pages and the message: “Please install Kirki”.

I know Kirki is installed. It was the subject of an update, and I’ve checked by FTP that the plugin exists. I’ve even deleted it and replaced it with the .zipped plugin (vsn 3.1.5) from this page, but all I see is: “Please install Kirki”.

It really looks like a conflict to me, but I’m not going to take a chance with an update until I can be sure it’s not going to break my website.

Any ideas what the issue might be?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It sounds like your theme requires Kirki to be installed.

I can imagine the theme doesn’t check properly if the plugin is installed or it fails for some reason. That’s basically the only thing I can think of. We don’t generate a notice like that.

I would suggest to reach out to the theme developer to see if they can help with this.
