Please help with tweaking layout

    hi guys
    My website is at https://entdocatiya.co.za

    I am brand new to webdesign, having only ever used MS Frontpage many years ago. Needless to say, things have changed a lot since then!

    I’ve used Spirited-Lite theme as the base, but I’ve had to heavily edit especially the front page. I don’t want a blog, I want a straightforward website, with links. no reviews, no comments.

    I’ve set up the site mostly, but PLEASE need help with a few things. I’ve just sat up all night trying to figure it out from one help site to the next, and I’m frustrated.

    1) I need to add in a Logo next to my name (the paid version of the theme allows it, but there is code that has been commented out in the header.php file that allows it, but I’m not savvy enough to make it work. I tried uncommenting it but that just made a mess)

    2) I need to add another text box just below the site description (under my name), to list my qualifications.

    3) I need to get rid of the “read more” buttons in the slider pictures

    4) I need the three blue boxes midpage to all be the same vertical size, and a little more space between them to allow for the bullets.

    5) Lastly, I’d like each line of the address in the bottom left (footer) to be on a new line, not flowing like it is now.

    Please believe me when I say I’m not being lazy, I just cannot figure this out. I’m pretty tech savvy with hardware and most run-of-the-mill software, but I’ve never learned to code or write HTML.

  • If you’re not up to speed with HTML it might be difficult to implement any of the suggestions posted here. You might be better off hiring yourself a WordPress developer to make these changes for you.

    Sorry I was unable to get round to your problem. I always look in the ‘no replies’ section of the forums so it may have gotten removed from the list when you replied to yourself, plus it only shows on that list if it hasn’t been answered for more than 2 hours so it would have just made the list. I do my best to look at as many as possible but I can’t guarantee I can look at everything.

    I’m a designer/front end developer so I tend to look at questions with titles to that effect so I may have missed it if it sounds like it’s to do with something outside of my field.

    I’m not sure whch suggestions you’re referring to. I don’t see any.

    Nevertheless, I’ve been able to get 3 and 4 right, with some help from CSS editor add ins, and a bit of playing around.

    Points 1, 2 and 5 still elude me….
