Please Help With This Database Error

  • I was running the database cleanup plugin and crashed my site, I now get this error:

    wp_users: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_usermeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_posts: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_comments: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_options: Table upgrade required. Please do “REPAIR TABLE wp_options” or dump/reload to fix it!
    wp_postmeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_terms: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_term_taxonomy: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_term_relationships: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
    wp_commentmeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed

    The “Database Repair” plugin

    You have three choices of what you can do:

    1. use phpMyAdmin (or whichever tool your host has available) to attempt to repair the database tables yourself.
    2. Ask your hosting cmpanies support staff to repair the database tables. They might do this and they might not dpeending on the level of support that you get from them.
    3. Delete the tables and restore then from a previous back up (you have been taking backups, haven’t you?)
