please enable debug, and check the javascript console. there probably will be a clue why it is failing.

    i got same problem now.
i tried to upload it but plug-in works for less 10 entries.
could please you help me out for it?

    Dear Allaerd,

I also got the same problem.
“Something went wrong. We could not make a connection with the server. Check your permissions and rights the do ajax requests!”

I’ve been using your plugin for several months. Never got such error. I have tried on Google Chrome and FireFox. Please fix.

Is anyone able to figure this issue out?

I believe this got something to do with compatibility of the plugin with the latest version WordPress/WooCommerce. It was working fine about a couple weeks ago before major updates on WordPress and WooCommerce due to critical bugs.

FYI, I also purchased add-on plugins (to do variation and attributes). Not sure if it’s related?

Let me know if you get the variation and attributes addons working. The original plugin works fine for me but the addons do not and there is no support on these forums or email anymore.

the permission error happens if the plugin cannot make an ajax call. This only happens if there is a time-out or your server is not responding. please contact your hosting provider for more details.

    Any update on this issue?

There is no issue with hosting provider. I am getting this issue only when I use ‘attributes’ on the header file. Definitely need some fix.

Having same issue… no issues on the hosting end. Please advise

Any updates on this? If there is a time out on the server would either the WP Memory Limit or PHP Time Limit need to be increased?

Just purchased this today. worked for awhile and also getting this error.
Other wordpress plugins and site functions seem to be connecting to server fine. I have the Variable Products Add-On

Any update or is this plugin no good?

I’m having the same issue. Have tried copying the CSV into smaller chunks, which doesn’t seem to make any difference. Have tried many times but it seems completely random as to when it times out, suggesting it’s NOT a hosting issue. Be great on an update

I deleted the particular products via wooCommerc/WP – products.
But it seems they/some where still in the database …
I deleted those products from the database …
I then tried uploading those products again (CSV) and they upload fine.

Also make sure your slug names are 100% accurate in the CSV

    So … Proplem 1 solved

    Problem 2.

When Upload a new product for first time… (Variable Product) everything uploads and shows fine, EXCEPT the $amount does not show up.
Strangely the amount is showing in the backend when edit the product. But not on the store front side.

If you upload again a 2nd time and thus over right it Does show up in the store front and any future upload eg. edit price/stock

So seems with new products … you have to 1. upload the csv 2. upload it a second time. Which is a bit of a pain with large csv ….

    Hope that helps someone else.

Support seems weak … although I hadn’t emailed the developer directly.

Also definately not a hosting issue.

    Hi dear,

    I’ve same issue like yours:

Something went wrong. We could not make a connection with the server. Check your permissions and rights the do ajax requests!

It’s definitly not a issue from the hoster or something.

When I import a other csv-file with the same “text”, the stopp at a other point. So I think it isn’t a problem in the file. what do you think?

    Somebody that solved this issue?

    best regards

Mine was definitely not a hosting issue:

    1. ensure the category names are exactly the same as any previously created (equal to the slug-name)

    2. I was importing featured-images via a url, timeout issues were caused if an images long edge was greater than 2000px. Whether this a WP issue or specific to the plugin, I’m not sure.

    Hope this helps some people

For multiple issues same error is coming and it is misleading. As I mentioned in my previous comment I was getting the same error when I import ‘attributes’.

I found solution somewhere in electrofriends.com

As per this site best way to solve this issue is reduce the number of columns to import. Just import Title and description only. If this succeeds then add some more columns.

Later I found that I have not provided the proper slug in attributes columns.

    Home this helps.
