    Hi,

I am hoping someoen can help me out. When I’m creating a post and want to hyperlink something I hightlight it and click the hyperlink button. Instead of opening the box and allowing me to add the hyperlink I get a box saying ‘open with’ and has firefox as default.

I have uploaded an image of what comes up when I click the hyperlink icon here: https://img835.imageshack.us/img835/9902/link0.png

I have taken out my site name for privacy reasons but I should tell you that I have wordpress installed to https://www.site.com/blog/ but that box says it is from: https://www.site.com if that is of any importance.

I really appreciate any help you can give me.

    James

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

Really strange, I deactivated all my plugins and activated them all one by one and tested it. Went through them all and now there all activated again and its working!

    Thanks for the help esmi.

I really didn’t want to have to reinstall wordpress again!
