    Please help.
    My site: https://www.tdi3.org.

I opened editor to look at functions.php because I had added code to the end of it to remove a calendar link being put in my one of my plugins. The site has been working fine, but one small aspect of the plugin is not working right. I added // to the front of one line of code (that I got from the plugin) and hit “update file.” I receive this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/tdi33071/public_html/wp-content/themes/accesspress-lite/functions.php on line 119

I removed the // that I had added and hit “update file” again, but now the error will not go away, and the site is down. I have counted lines, I have counted curly brackets, and I don’t see where there are any extras. I removed every piece of code after line 118, and hit “update file” and I still get the same error, referencing line 119.

I spoke with my site hoster, and they can restore to yesterday’s backup for a fee. Is that my best option?

I cannot change to another theme or do anything else in wp-admin, and I can’t go “edit” another theme to grab a clean copy of functions.php from the child theme that I had created. Every time I try to do something, I get this error.

I really hope you can help me quickly.

    Thank you so much.
    Margaret
