Please HELP ME WP 3.0 mess up my site!!!!

    I upgraded to 3.0 and at first my site was fine. After that I couldn’t log in my dashboard so I had wordpress send me a new one. When I log in my dashboard was stuck and I can’t edit my post,comments,categories,. I can’t access my plugins and half of my dashboard is missing. So I contacted my host and had them downgrade me back to 2.9.2 but now I still have the same problems I had with WP 3.0. My other sites that have worpress 2.9.2 and have not ever been upgraded to 3.0 are FINE! What do I do?…PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

    It sounds like your account may have lost admin privileges for some reason.

    Access your database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), go to the wp_users table and find the row for your user_login . Note the ID of this row. Now, go to the wp_usermeta table and find the wp_capabilities row for your user_id . Set the value of this row to a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}

    The value is already set to that

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder using FTP (or use whatever file management application your host provides)

    – resetting

    Tryed that stil doesn’t work

    I figured it out I don’t know for sure but I think WP 3.0 as a bug or something because my wordpress had been hacked in too and changed!! I had my host fix the problem…..WORDPRESS 3.0 GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!!

    There are no known security issues with WP 3.0. The hack could have come through a back door anywhere on the server.
