I have read everything I can and tried everything I dared to change the header constraint to 500×300. Even if I have changed it (I can’t tell), the cropping still limits me to the 52px height. Please, in the name of all that is WordPressy, help me get this done.

If you have code for me to pop in to php or css files, please be specific as to which files I should edit.

I am using a child theme based on Annotum Base.

What are you trying to change?

I want to have a header of height 300 so I can put logos and other callouts above (or even below) the menu. To scale our logo for height of 52 renders it unintelligible.

I don’t have that theme installed – I can do that on a test site but it will be a while as I’m not on a computer where I can do that. I don’t see any image in your site – is there one in the theme already?

That’s very nice of you. I took the logo image out bc it looked ridiculous. I can put it back in there, but you’ll only be able to see a horizontal strip of it. I’ll pop it up there now. I really appreciate your help.

Ah yes, I see that image is cropped – so does it automatically crop it when you upload or insert it?

It only lets me upload it if it’s cropped to a height of 52px. I’ve created logos to the required dimensions, but you can’t even tell what it is.

It appears that you’ve moved on to another theme, but you can modify the header and CSS files to change the image dimensions.
