• I am working with the Revolution City Gray theme. It’s the second site I have with the same theme and with the other one I have not had this problem. I wonder if I am missing a setting or something, but I can’t figure it out.
    All my posts are ‘published’, they got their thumbnails, their titles, but when I go ‘Home’, none of the post appear under the ‘featured category area’. All the posts appear in the Archive.

    I have already downloaded a fresh copy of the theme, and nothing.

    Help me before I pull all my hair out, please!

  • If you look at your blog’s browser source code, you can see that your theme is not configured/customized:

    <div class="featured">
    <h2>Featured Category</h2>
    <!--This is where the thumbnails are found for the homepage bottom section - note the custom field name for this image is "thumbnail". Recommended image size is 70x70, as the stylesheet is written for this size.-->
    <!--This is where you can specify the archive link for each section.-->
    <b><a href="ENTER CATEGORY URL HERE" rel="bookmark">More Featured Category Posts</a></b>
    </div>

    If you can’t find theme settings/options in the dashboard, check the theme creator’s site for help and instructions.

    Thanks for such a quick response. I’ve been looking for help in their site since this morning. Not a lot of support there, if you are lucky enough to find it….

    I’m an absolute beginner, could you give me an idea of what I need to do? I’m totally frustrated… I’m about to change themes.

    If a themes designer refuses to help someone with his theme – it might be appropriate to try another more helpful theme, I would think. Themes should work out of the box, imo, unless it is clearly stated in the theme instructions that work is required to customize options for a site and HOW to do that.

    Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with this theme. If this was a premium theme (one you paid for), then the theme creator really should provide you with support. Try contacting him or her. However, some formerly premium themes are now free but charge for support, which is why free web support for them is minimal to nonexistent.

    ?? That is sad…. I found the support page, but none of their links to contact them, or even to purchase, work… speaks volumes of the Theme’s Author, right?

    I should clarify that since yesterday, I found the “real” forum of the theme. It had obviously upgraded and I mistakenly thought it was closed. So, it’s a great theme after all!
