please help – getElementById Internet Explorer error

  • when i load my page in internet explorer the background doesn’t load and i get a javascript error message saying “getElementById() is null or is not an object”

    This only happens in internet explorer and i cant figure out what the problem is.

    Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
