• I just logged into my admin dashboard as I always do, and all I’m looking at are my comments and recent posts.

ALL incoming links just went poof!

Any suggestions? This is freakin me out.

Same problem. Uploaded WP 2.3.1 and as it was also the case with 2.2.2 again no any incoming links at all, as well as other things missing. The Dashboard refuses to execute the commands. It has nothing to do with technorati. With the latest versions of WP, the old file index.php under wp-admin is now split into two files: index.php and index-extra.php. It seems that for some users this is not a problem and they get incoming links (google or others). We uploaded the plugin to restore technorati, all seems well but no any incoming links. But looking at the program lines all seems to be OK but it simply does not work on our server.
Maybe there is a relation with the type of server or other criteria (windows based or unix based?). For us this is anyway a bug in the WP software. Not been able to understand why it does not work.

On another blog, based on another server and running WP 2.0.3 all is fine – incoming links, technorati etc.

We dowloaded for a short time the index.php file version 2.0.3 on the other server and technorati came out… Of course we had to restore it back because of other problems.
Now up to the brains to sort this out.

Further to the previous entry: continuing tests. Some blogs on different servers do show the incoming links. My one does not. See here how the code looks for the dashboard (only the part where the links should be), you can see it is simply missing. The commands don’t work. So again, NOT Technorati but a bug related to different server environments.

So, no any “specialist” can solve this. It makes me wonder if I should abandon WordPress. The problem is still there but, explain THAT, today the incoming links were there for 10 min and then were gone again when I logged in again after 10 min. My other old blog still works fine…
Anybody out there who can help?

any more news on this ? Mine dont show incoming links either

As stated several times in the thread, this is not a WordPress issue. All WordPress does is send a request to Technorati or Google blog search for a list of URLs.

If no list is returned then WordPress can’t display it.
