• After installing the ozh admin drop down menu plugin I got an error and now my blog will not let me login to the admin area. After I enter my username and password it gives me this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_admin_url() in /home/guardian/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ozh-admin-drop-down-menu/inc/core.php on line 242

I logged into ftp and deleted the plugin from the plugins folder and I am still getting this message. I have deleted my cookies and have even tried uninstalling the blog and reinstalling the blog and have got no results from either. I am literally pulling my hair out

CAN ANYONE HELP? thanks in advance

  • Using FTP: Rename your Plug-in directory to something else, make a blank empty new Plug-in directory with the correct name. Sometimes things will sort of hang up.

That has helped others. You can also rename the theme you are using and that will force WordPress to the default or 2010 Theme.

Yes this has helped me, this(Fatal error: Call to undefined function [in a plugin directory]) sometimes happens when a plugin install halted during install/upgrade.
