• Hi there,

I’m working with Sydney to create a digital music publication. Looking at i-D’s site for inspiration, I’m trying to organise (what I eventually will add as articles) similarly to how that site does – see the last image at the bottom.

My first question: how would I create a similar 3 image row layout that functions like this? Would pages or posts be better to achieve this?

My second question is: upon clicking the article thumbnail/title, can the layout of the post/”article” use a similar layout to the homepage, as I’d like a big image similar to the slider to take up the article? I can’t figure out how to do this! (This is a good example of the size image I’d like: Laura Marling on i-D)

I’ve also included images of how my homepage looks currently. The 3 articles would sit below the slider, similar to i-D. Hopefully I make sense – sorry if I seem a little dense, but hopefully someone will be able to help. Thanks in advance! ??

    My current homepage

When you scroll down, the white space is where the row of 3 articles would be

This is how i-D’s homepage looks. I’d like something similar to work below my slider, and upon clicking, for a different page style to show (not like a typical WP blogpost – I’m unsure how to reformat much)

  • Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us here.

It looks like quite similar with Sydney’s latest news widget. Its live example can be seen on our demo, scroll down until you get the latest news section. Each item links to its article detail which is composed from post (Dashboard > Post). To display this kind of content in your page, use the “Sydney FP: Latest News” widget and incorporate it with Page Builder plugin. You can display multiple news sections in the same page with different entries. To do so, you should categorize your posts, and use the widget’s category slug option.

    I hope this reply helps.

    Regards,
    Kharis
