Please get rid of Gutenberg!

  • Slow, non-intuitive, waaaay behind other editors (like Elementor), utterly impossible for your average user who just wants to write content, endless updates, non-compatibility with a great many wordpress plugins. My first step with a new website is to disable Gutenberg. Also, the widget interface is ridiculous. Just the worst. I even tried … really tried… watched Youtube tutorials, tried to make a Gutenberg site. It was torture. I have considered leaving WordPress because of Gutenberg.

    @rayofruby I’m sorry you are so frustrated with Gutenberg. If you would be willing to provide tangible examples, then the development team could try and address them.

    I’ll make some videos that I’ll post on youtube, but it might be a while. Next time I set up a new WP installation, I’ll try playing around in Gutenberg again and show a few examples. Probably start with the terrible widget interface.
