You probably have a javascript error occurring on your News Ticker edit page coming from another plugin or your theme. If there is a javascript error, then certain data will not save correctly.

If you want to create a private ticket here https://metaphorcreations.ticksy.com/ and include your WP dashboard credentials I can take a look and see where the error is coming from.

Before:

ditty_news_ticker($ce_ditty_post_id);

After:

echo do_shortcode(‘[ditty_news_ticker id=”667″]’);

when we use ditty_new_ticker, it doesn’t work and shows error but when we use do_shortcode it works and no error is displayed

Are you sure your variable exists?

What do you get when you setup your direct function like:

ditty_news_ticker(667);
