    Hi and thank you very much for this great and free plugin.

    I’m having issues when I check logs. The display is 10 per page. When I alter to 120 or 100 it often displays nothing.

    I think it is because the pagination number [at the very bottom] maintains its former self. And so if default is 10 items and the pagination has 50 tabs then when I want 100 items listed it still keeps me on the 50th tab and hence nothing is there.

    [2] Please add a way to sort per emails sent via which method [SMTP, PHP fallback etc].

    I sent to a list using SMTP and some failed. I checked info per each and saw they were being sent via fallback PHP [WP].
    The others that were successful got sent via SMTP.

    Why were the failed ones sent over PHP then?

    Next, I manually resent failed ones and they got sent. Assuming they did send OK, and they were resent over PHP.
    There’s no delivery reporting as to receiving. Also not via the FluentCRM [free].

    [2a] Which begs the Q why did PHP fail and then not fail to send?

    [2b] Why can we not select to resend over SMTP?

    [2c] Did SMTP fail and hence PHP fallback got selected because email is bad?

    Can you please record a video of the issue you are facing so that we can take a further look? We have tested and it seems like everything is working fine, kindly check the screenshot: https://somup.com/c3Qu1BU751.

    Currently, it is not possible to sort emails best on the SMTP method. I am considering that as a feature request. Each feature request must be thoroughly examined by the R&D team to determine its feasibility and necessity. If they are affirmative about the implementation, it will be forwarded to the development team and eventually implemented.

    Fallback connections are used when the default email sending method is failed to deliver emails. If you click resend then it will use the default email sending service(For your case, this is SMTP) as a result, it got failed again. Unfortunately, resend over other method is not available at the moment.

    Regarding question 2c, there are various reasons emails got failed. You can select on the specific failed email from the email log and then check the technical information tab for the reason for the email failing.

    Thanks for detailed reply.

    When I clicked to retry it sent via fallback not default, as far as I can see.
    There’s no log I can find that shows a sequence, like [1] SMTP [2] fallback [3] retry – SMTP [4] sent via fallback.

    Also, when send via fallback then I don’t know if it was delivered or not as it isn’t in the failed tab anymore but was not sent via SMTP, meaning, there was SMTP issue, right? So maybe undelivered due to bounce or whatever or block.

    The issue I suppose is due to the pagination. When I want to view more than 12 at a time; say there were 76 in the list and now I want to see 100. Then sometimes it returns a blank list of emails if the pagination needs not the tab I was on. Instead of updating and removing redundant tab I was on, which now of course will be empty, but I should be on the tab prior logically, if that tab is nulled and empty..

    Hi,

    If you click on resend and the email fails, it will remain on the state ‘Failed’. However, in case of bounce you need to set up a bounce handler. If you are using Fluent CRM, you can set up bounce handler by following our doc.

    Regarding the pagination issue, it would be helpful if you could provide a visual representation(i.e recording a video would be very helpful). We will then debug the issue further and provide a fix if there is anything needed.
