I like the theme. Nice strong type that is extremely legible. I actually cannot say anything but good things about your design.

Please take these comments lightly, as they are quite nitpicky…
It took me a few seconds to realise that your input box was for search. I know, 99% of people will know what it is and what it’s there for.
Also, I would love to see more than one post at a time or at least be able to go from one to the next with the something like the standard [previous post title] [next post title] links somewhere on the page.

I also agree with isotrope – your search box really does need something – search! Go! Something.

It’s just sitting there with no direction. Most people of very average internet experience – like my 61yr old mother and my 15yr old daughter wouldn’t have a clue as to what it does or what its suppose to represent.

I also read your post – you don’t need to upgrade your writing skills. I enjoyed your words, your tone and your flair for the gab very much.

Thank you both for the friendly words. I added some indication to the search box, is it better like this or does it need a go/search button?

Also I will look into display more than one post at a time. This will take a little more time however since the design was based on one post and simplicity. I don’t want to break it (visually) but I will find a solution.

Didn’t you just post on this not long ago, just changed it a bit? The header got smaller..and something else is different, just can’t put my finger on it.. =)

Well, I did change the header size somee days ago and also removed the pictures in this post. Maybe thats it?

I see some traffic coming from here but no comments. Please tell me your opinion on my site. Also I did change the front page and archives.

I like it a lot. Though I would use a less common typeface personally, and it is standard practice to make a header a link to your blog when it is as sizeable as yours.

Thanks for your feedback. The header link is added as you suggested. What do you mean with sizeable? The typeface I will see if I can find anything to my liking, or do you have any suggestions I should look at?

Ok, I could use some help. My archives page breaks in Internet explorer while it looks fine in Safari and Firefox (Mac). First I thought it would be the box model but that doesn’t seem to be it. If someone has a clue, pls drop me a line at mstegink att gmail.

Nice and clean I like it. Most of my “points” where picked up by others but your sitemappreview.jpg link is broken.

Check your site with any LinkChecker tool

I didn’t check with a linkchecker tool, I’ll do that when de design is finished. However the sitemap link is fixed and so are the two other image links in cooking articles. Probably not much more broken links around.

Unfortunately I did not get any hints for the archives page so it took me some time to solve it. It is solved however. Another tick in the box but as always, another one added also: the nav link on the frontpage has to be decided on. Anyway, next to solve will be the search page.

i like it. it’d be cool if the header was “random” to give you different fruits or something…
