Please add support to the startertheme BlankSlate, or explain how I could implement HFE there?

It is a very simple, single-directory theme, so I geuss it’s a matter of a minute to adding HFE support in BlankSlate theme?

Yet, I’m not a themer and don’t know where to start (I do know PHP fundamentals and CSS basics and could do well with an explanation).
