Please add Facebook Like button as well

  • Please add Facebook Like button as well, as currently, there are only Share and Follow buttons.

    Facebook Like buttons are very popular because all the user needs is to Like the post, that’s all.

    Also, please consider implementing display counters to show how many likes,shares,tweets, etc, while not sacrificing speed.

    Right now, this is the fastest social sharing plugin.

  • Unfortunately we can’t do that, because the only way to achieve both of those things is to use the JavaScript APIs from the social networks which is what the basic plugin here tries to avoid.

    We do however offer the Light Prompt addon, which *does* load the JavaScript but asynchronously, only when needed (i.e. only when the user clicks on the buttons). This prevents the JavaScript from slowing down the site for people who are not interested in sharing.
