I think you add this in you plugin code.

My understanding of translation in wordpress is not good. The problem is that what documentation there is assumes a level of knowledge that I do not possess.

So I do not understand why ‘topic by’ is translated for you and reply by not – either both or neither should be.

Included in my plugin is a .pot file (under languages folder) . This should allow you to create a Russian version of my plugin.

If you are happy to do this for some or all of the words, then fine, but please send me the .po and .mo files so I can include them in my plugin.

Otherwise I may be able to give you some code for your functions file that specifically fixes your issue.
