  • Taylor, So far I absolutely love your plugin. I have struggled with all of the other cache plugins and they are clunky and complicated. Your plugin loads my pages in a flash… One feature I would love to see, aside from your planned automatic refresh, is the ability to cache certain posts by date… I have over 6000 posts on my site and really dont want to cache all of them. The older posts are just there for reference and historical reasons and if someone happens upon the older posts I do not mind if it is a bit slower. If I try to cache all of my posts I get a gateway timeout… For now I will do them individually but would love the ability to only cache certain posts by date. Thanks again for this great plugin and I cant wait to see where you go with it in the future..

Thanks for feedback ruralinfo. I’ll think about best way to handle sites like your w/ lots of posts. Caching by date sounds like a good option.

    Hi Taylor,

Thanks for this nice plugin, it’s very fast and light weight!

I would like to see a multisite ready version of the plugin where only the super admin can see the WP Fast Cache admin panel in the network main admin panel.

I like the auto refresh update but does it work for comments as well?

Some other caching plugins have the pages cached once they show up in a browser thus bypassing the need to create the cache manually, would you consider adding such a feature too?

    Hey edealsbiz,

I got your feedback in regards to multi site issue. I have not tested this plugin on multisite, and for now I would not recommend using it for multisite setup, I think you may get some strange stuff happening like caching the wrong home page.

I should not be to hard to get it working w/ multisite, and I will let you know when I release a compatible version (should not be too long).

Also the issue with manual cache creation I am considering, however I think one of my goals it to keep cache plugin light weight.

Also, after thinking about it only being able to cache 100 or so pages actually might not be horrible for the vast majority of sites, especially bc most likely 100 of top visited pages get 95% of traffic. I could be wrong on that, but that is what I see on my sites anyway.

On second thought, just create new topic for feature requests.

You have a button to update 25 most recent posts but how about 25 oldest posts? That would be such a huge help to those who run into memory issues trying to cache thousands and thousands of posts.

KlubKelli – you can change that 25 to whatever number you want.

However after thinking about it, I will change the functionality so that when you click it it updates the “next 25 most recent posts” (so clicking twice would get 50 pages and so on.)

Yeah that solution would work great because when I try and do anything past 1500 to 1700 or so my server screams and cries. ??

    Taylor,

    Great Plugin!

Have you thought about adding any kind of pagination to the cache list?

My pages and posts are going to number in the thousands and when that long list loads, as the plugin appears to be set up now, it is going to take some time to go through it.

Yea I need to put pagination in -It’s on the docket.
