Please Activate Parent plugin?

  • Just activated the latest version of AMP, and I see this link underneath the plugin title in Plugins screen:

    “Please Activate Parent plugin”

    next to “Deactivate” and “Edit” links.

    But when I click on it I get this:

    /wp-admin/plugins.php?page=tgmpa-install-plugins

    “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    What a…?

    What should I do here?

    How do I activate this “parent plugin”?

    And do I have to activate it at all?

    Well, that’s all fine and dandy… until you actually try and follow those instructions or install that AMP Plugin.

    The minute I have both of them activated I get a 500 Error:

    PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Redux’ not found in /wp-content/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/includes/options/redux-extensions/extensions-init.php on line 4

    When was the last time you guys tested these two together?

    Ok, one down…

    How about the other issue of actually installing that other plugin:

    I grabbed the 0.9.1.2.1 version and still the same issue persists…

    any updates on this?

    I still can’t activate it without breaking the whole site (looking for that Redux framework or something error) even with the latest 0.9.1.2.1 version.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
