Pleas help – can’t install on 000webhost.com

    I’m trying to install wordpress (2.8.4.) on my (free) server, but no luck! I did everything that I usually do and more, but nothing!
    Here is what I did:
    a) I made a MySQL database on my server, copied username a2676221_myname, password, hostname mysql9.000webhost.com, database a2676221_name to my wp-config.php, like I have done it many times on a localhost;
    b) I copied all the wordpress files on public-html using SmartFTP and on the second try using file manager;
    c) I tried to run the install by going https://mydomain/wp-admin/install.php

    And this is where things go wrong – instead of WordPress screen I get https://error.000webhost.com/

    Could you please smart people help me!

    P.S.

    I have already done the same moves 4 times, I’ve looked in FAQ, forum and searched Google, but all I found was that I’m doing everything the way I should! This is quite annoying!

  • remove the host default index.html from the root so wordpress’ index.php will work

    Does this error message makes sense 2 anyone ?

    I install wordpress in freehosting 000webhosting, but when I already install it and when I test my blog from other place I saw “Please delete file “default.php” from public_html folder and upload your website by using FTP or web based File Manager”.

    I already delete ‘default.php’. but I saw upper notice too.

    So I call the address ‘ wp-admin ‘ it’s work. And I can log in. I can Post. And return to my blog from preview button.

    Pls suggest me …
