Play/Pause video via JavaScript and event handling?

  • Hello guys

    How can I call play() or pause() on any video, no matter if it’s embedded via Flash nor a raw HTML5 video tag?

    Is there no common API for videos inside WP posts? Something to make this independent from the video player and their plugins would be great!
