    Hello,

I’m trying to embed this youtube playlist:

    …into my web page:
    https://www.sharefollowserve.com/testing2/

When I make changes to that playlist (either adding a new video, or changing the order os the videos), the update is only visible when I refresh that web page from a mobile browser. The desktop browser does not reflect the update.

One exception is when I’m logged into my wordpress account from the desktop browser…then the updated playlist will show on that web page. But as soon as I log out of my wordpress account, the un-updated playlist shows.

I’ve experienced this with more than 1 youtube embedding plugin, but I’m hoping you can shed some light on where the issue is and how to correct it.

Aside from this issue, this plugin if perfect for my needs.

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

To avoid frequent YouTube API requests, the plugin will cache the API responses for a certain duration. This is the reason you always get the old cached data. So, whenever you update the playlist on the YouTube website, go to the plugin’s settings page and delete the API cache using the “Delete Cache” button. So, the plugin will make a fresh API call the next time you visit your gallery page.

    Hope this solved your issue!

    Hello,

To clarify and update what I’m experiencing:

My youtube playlist is embedded into my WordPress page. When I add a new video to my youtube playlist:
    * the mobile version of my WordPress website updates almost instantly (showing the new video at the top of the list)
    * the regular desktop version of the Webpress website never updates
(I have to force it by publishing a new version on my page in wordpress)
(…and I don’t want to have to go in and delete the API cache each time)

I experience this same behavior with 3 different youtube plugins…so it seems like an issue with the WordPress engine itself.

Also, note that I’m using the “Caching Enabler” plugin:
    https://www.sharefollowserve.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=cache-enabler&TB_iframe=true&width=600&height=550

…and have these two options currently set:
    * “Cache Expiry” is set to 1 hour
    * “Cache Exclusions” is set to a few specific page id’s (including my page with the youtube playlist embedded)

…but still, the problems persists, namely:
    — the desktop interface does not auto-update whereas the mobile interface updates almost immediately.

Hoping someone can help me here.

    Regards,
    Matt

Kindly try disabling your caching plugin completely. I guess you should have tried this already. Please submit a ticket on our website here https://plugins360.com/support/. So, we can request some additional details from your website to further investigate the issue.

    Hello,

You are correct that even if I disable my caching plugin, the behavior still occurs.

I have also submitted a ticket per your recommendation.

    Regards,
    Matt
