The plugin does a great job displaying a playlist of locally hosted videos (the first example on my test page).

However, trying to get the same effect using Youtube links (main player above three clickable preview thumbnails) fails. I tried different settings for Playlist Styles, but only the first video is visible. The source of the rendered page also shows only one iframe containing the first video.

    This is the shortcode:

<p>Flowplayer playlist with three Youtube videos:</p>

    [fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9XAAa7rTzI" splash="https://dev.heikoobermoeller.com/cms2017/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Giraffenaffen-5_186x105px.jpg" width="1280" height="720" playlist="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuBAvkrKs4M,https://dev.heikoobermoeller.com/cms2017/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Americas-Got-Talent-2015-S10E21-Semi-Finals_186x105px.jpg;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKAyKpKKOJ8,https://dev.heikoobermoeller.com/cms2017/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Giraffenaffen-Gang-Noe-mit-Oe_186x105px.jpg" splash_text="Giraffenaffen 5;;"]

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Stefan

  • Hello Stefan,

Your shortcode is ok (tested on one of our test sites). The problem could be in the fact that YouTube videos are only available in the Pro version of FV Player. I haven’t detected the FV Player Pro plugin on your website, so I assume that you are using only the free version. You can purchase the pro version here – FV Player Pro license.

    Thanks for trying FV plugins!

Thanks for the reply! I didn’t realize that, because individual Youtube videos work just fine. When inserting a playlist of youtube videos in the backend, it would be helpful if the plugin indicated that this won’t work without the pro license.
I’ll talk to the customer about purchasing a license.

Just one more thing to be sure before buying.
Does the Pro version support the following scenario:

    • setting up a playlist from separate Youtube videos selected by hand (not a Youtuble playlist or channel)
    • large player above, with clickable thumbnails underneath, OR
    • thumbnails only, video opens in lightbox

How the second version is supposed to look can be seen on this page:

    Thanks!

    Hello Stefan,

Our player should be able to meet all the requirements you have listed. First take a look at this demo – it’s a playlist made of YouTube videos (not a YouTube playlist, although FV Player can also use those). You can also check our Lightbox demo to see how it works.
