Is it possible to set the ordering of self-contained embedded playlists (not galleries) so the most recently published video is always the one embedded on the WordPress site? This is for the free version of the plugin.

The plugin’s manual embedding instructions suggest is is possible, saying: “If you want the first video to always be the latest video in your playlist, check the option “Playlist Ordering” in the settings down below”. But where is “down below”? I see no option like that anywhere though the plugin. Is it referring to the YouTube account page?

It’s in the Defaults tab in the plugin’s admin page.

OK, I have that checked but I’ve not been able to work out what the youtube link needs to be for that option to actually work. When embedding a self-contained playlist, do I use the link to the latest video in the playlist, the link to share the playlist itself, or a link to any video in the playlist which the plugin will then automatically replace with the latest video?

The latter (link to any video) doesn’t seem to work because the page just displays the older video without defaulting to the latest video. The other two seem to work but I’ve not been able to thoroughly test what happens when a new video is added.

Are you using the wizard to do all this or manually generating links?
