Playing with TinyMCE and broke it

I recently upgraded to WP 2.5-RC1 with no problems/outages. Being too clever by half, I then started playing around with TinyMCE/AdvancedMCE and was able to break the editor in RC1.

Before, I had two tabs to select from (Visual/HTML) with the available buttons for each. Now I have just the tabs with no menu buttons.

Now, I did try to reinstall parts and pieces of RC1 and even went so far as to completely reload wordpress at root, without success.

Any suggestions? Will I have to completely delete the current install and start from scratch? How does one do this?
