The player stats labels are confusing me. I’ve been searching everywhere and also tested many sport-related plugins to use for my leagues website, but every single one falls short.

I require at least 17 player stat areas (it is a hockey league) but your plugin only has 7, with no option to add custom fields. The ones listed I assume are for soccer or something (I have only ever been interested in hockey so I have no clue the other sports rules/stats).

Is there a way to add additional fields to include all of a player’s gameplay stats, or is this plugin not meant for ALL sports and I should keep searching for others?

    MORE INFO:

Stat fields for skaters are as follows:

Games Played, Goals, Assists, Shots, Shot Percentage, Plus/Minus, Power Play Goals, Short Handed Goals, Penalty Minutes, Hits, Wins, Losses, Overtime Losses, 1st star, 2nd star, 3rd star.

There are different headings required for the goalies, but the same number of stats to be logged.

I am currently doing everything manually in a table plugin for I guess you would call them pick-up games, but need this to be transformed into something more in-depth for league play with seasons.

  • Hi Tiarmach,

I agree that most WP sports plugins fall short, which is a shame. I hope to fix this with WP Club Manager and will continue to develop the plugin to fill that gap.

For now though, you cannot add extra stats fields, sorry. I don’t claim the plugin is suitable for ALL sports, but that is my eventual goal.

Sorry if the plugin falls short for your needs for now. Hopefully that will change in the future as new features and improvements are added.

Thanks for your feedback and good luck with your site.

I appreciate the quick response. I’ll try to make do with something for now, or continue to do things manually.

The plugin you have made here is a good one, and once it is compatible with all sports I will most likely start using it.

    +1 for adding variable stats

I assume this is not 5 minute work stuff so maybe using already available stats for goals, cards,MOM,ratings etc. add little customization.

    for now its:
    1) goals NUMBER (summarized in listings ),
    2) assist , NUMBER (summarized in listings )
    3) yello and red cards CHECKBOX (summarized),
    4) ratings NUMBER (only average rating in tables)
    5) MoM awards CHOOSEBOX (summarized)

I’m trying to use this for amateur basketball (without rebounds, assist, turnovers etc)
Need only Points, Fauls, 3pointers and eventualy Technical and MVP
So its easy to me tu customize and I did with one BUT
I’m using ratings to enter the points scored to gain average points per match stat.
Would be nice to add SUM variable to widget and shortcodes so I can use it both ways in listings as total points scored in all matches and/or average.
The same could be for Goals so it will be 2 statistics with both ways of sorting.

I think this is small feature which helps a lot of users to adapt this plugin to their needs.

I too feel the same way. I have 1 team I am wanting to keep stats and player pages to help with college recruiting for my players. This has been the best plugin I have been able to find however, the stat labels are not ones used for Youth Soccer.

I would love to have the following (some of these you already have)

    Goals (G)
    Assists (A)
    Saves (S)
    Shots on Goal (SOG)
    Shots (SH)
    Penalty Kicks (PK)
    Offsides (OFF)
    Fouls Committed (FC)
    Fouls Suffered (FS)
    Yellow (Y)
    Red (R)
