Player Options erased when editing download

    This is a minor issue, but whenever we go back into an audio download to edit anything such as the description, category, tags, etc., OR use the WP “quick edit” function to change/add category or tags, the Music Player plugin loses the settings we’ve previously selected and saved for that download.

    It reverts to the stock out-of-the-box settings, even though I have changed those via Settings > Music Player for Easy Digital Downloads to have custom settings (those are ignored).

    It seems like the standard WP ‘save’ function is overwriting the Music Player plugin’s saved options.

    This has happened several times now during our testing phase, but we’re hoping to have our downloads available live by the first of January, so hoping for a fix in an update soon. As a workaround, I now have a moratorium on changes unless the player settings are also checked and restored.

    Hi @codepeople – thank you so much, I apologize I should have specified that I have the premium version so that we can protect the audio file and only play a preview snippet (which I set to 25% of the song) which is WELL worth the cost of the premium version – it’s awesome…..but my bad for not being specific!

    Also, further testing has isolated the problem to using the Quick Edit feature of WP (on the All Downloads overview page) so I have banned users from that feature for the time being! No quick-edits!

    It’s okay if it takes a while to update the Premium version, my banning of using quick edits will suffice for us for now.

    Perfect, thank you! It took me a minute to figure out how to update the Premium version but I did figure it out (great FAQs on your site!).

    I can confirm that I updated and tested using Quick Edit, the Settings for the download did NOT get erased now, so it is working perfectly!
