• The TinyMCE icon is always grayed out in the Edit Post page. When I hover over it with my mouse the context pop-up says “Modify miniAudioPlayer”. I believe it may be caused by the new “Attachment Display Settings” options when inserting media. If I select “Embeded Media Player” while having the mb.miniAudioPlayer plugin activated then the styling of the player changes on the public view of the post and shows the “00:00” t, and the audio doesn’t play. But if I deactivate the plugin, the styling of the player changes, and the audio file plays. I had disabled all other plugins, and reverted back to the 2013 theme and it still didn’t work.

You can find an example here: Example of non-working player

  • The plugin stopped working after upgrading to WordPress 3.6? Thank you in advance if someone can help me.

    Hi,
I just updated my blog to WP 3.6 and the player is still working fine…

I’ll make some tests when I’ll be back from my holidays.

The plugin is still working on posts that were created before the 3.6 update. However, with all new posts WP is overriding your plugin with it’s own new player (audio tag) that doesn’t even work on Chrome correctly.

With the new WP 3.6 you can add a media file using their short code for the built in player (both audio and video).
Instead of inserting the media using the “embed media player” method you have to insert it using the “link to media file” option in the Attachment display settings panel on the right of the media window.

    Bye,
    Matteo
