Player No Longer working – RSS Feed Error

    Hello,

    I’ve been using this plugin on my client’s site for a while now and it has been great until yesterday when I discovered that the two podcasts episodes we were using it for are no longer showing up. Now we get an error: RSS Error: Please provide a valid feed url.

    I have tried relinking the episodes and uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I tried to clear the server cache, but I’m not sure that was successful. Any help is appreciated.

    Site is hosted on GoDaddy with a Deluxe Web Hosting (not managed WP, no way to clear cache from WP or within GD account) and built with Elementor. Everything is up to date.

    Thanks for using the podcast player on your client’s website. Can you please share the feed URL you are using while displaying the podcast player (or you can share the screenshot of the backend)?

    Thanks for the quick response.

    There are two different podcasts and I’m getting the same error for both of them.

    The first is Let’s Talk Sales – this is the link to the specific episode: https://criteriaforsuccess.com/become-an-ally-with-gavriella-schuster/

    The second is Inspiring Women – this is think to the specifice episode: https://www.inspiringwomen.show/2021/04/19/ep-18-it-was-a-wake-up-call-when-her-daughter-wanted-to-drop-out-of-stem-in-high-school-now-gavriella-schuster-wants-you-to-become-an-ally/

    Hi there,

    1. In the first case, try replacing the Podcast Feed URL to https://criteriaforsuccess.com/feed/podcast/
    2. In the second case, try using the following podcast feed url
      https://www.inspiringwomen.show/feed/podcast/

    It should resolve the issue. Inform me for more help or explanation on this.

    Thank you, that has worked. Any insight on why it suddenly stopped working? Just so I am on the lookout in the future.

    Hi there,

    1. I think this problem start because the podcast feed was deleted using (WordPress Dashbaord > Podcast Player > Toolkit > Feed Updation tool).
    2. The podcast was displayed not using the actual feed URL but using the reference unique ID which was also deleted when the podcast was deleted. There should be at least one podcast on the website displayed using the feed URL , so that the unique ID can be regenerated once it is deleted.

    Inform me for any more help or explanation on this.

    Weird I had not made any updates to the site for over a month beyond the plugin auto updates that happen.

    I just double checked and the Let’s Talk Sales podcast has disconnected again. And again I have made no changes since updating the links you provided.

    Hi there,

    I am sorry that you are facing this issue. I might be wrong in correctly identifying the issue. We have not released any new updates since last four weeks, so there could be issue with the RSS feed.

    Can you inform what new error you are getting in the Let’s Talk Sales Podcast? I will recheck and try to resolve it ASAP.

    If I’m not logged into the site nothing shows up except the text I added under. If I am logged in I get the same error as before:

    RSS Error:?Feed Data Not Available

    Hi there,

    I have now checked the feed URL: https://criteriaforsuccess.com/feed/podcast/

    The issue is with the feed URL itself. If you visit the above URL, it is giving a 404 error page (Not a valid feed XML). Please check the correct feed URL for this podcast and use the same.

    I think the issue is not with the podcast player. Please inform if you need any more help or explanation.
