• Hello

    Great thanks for your plugin!
I really appreciate your work and I love this plugin

But I have a problem, you can see it in this link for example ..
    https://a3994-tmp.s48.upress.link/4551

I chose the settings – “set all videos to expand to 100% of their containers” because I do not want to play constantly with the sizes ..
But what happens is that the player is initially loaded at the default size set in the system and then jumps to the desired size,

The surfers also see the jump in the desktop, but on a smartphone it looks more like a bigger jump,

I tried a lot to change settings in the plugin and still the jump left

    Thank you
    Dear men

Your site is designed to allow a maximum width of 595 in that column, so I would recommend you set that as the default width in the plugin settings. And if most of your videos have a 4:3 aspect ratio like that one, set the default height to 446. The video will still resize to its container, but it helps to give it accurate information ahead of time. Aside from that, there’s no magic bullet to find out how big the container is before the container is rendered in the browser.

thank you for the quick reply!

I understood what you wrote and really defined a fixed size for the player ..

The problem that the mobile still has a jump,
Do I have a way to prevent it?

What you’ve done is not defining a fixed size for the player, but just giving the browser a better idea of what the size of the video will be when it is rendered. It still resizes responsively if the container changes shape, which is what you’re seeing when it loads the video in a smaller mobile window. The rest of the page loads faster than the video, so unless you want to block rendering of the page until the video loads (which my plugin isn’t set up to do) there’s always going to be a slight reconfiguration of the page as things load. This is how most websites load and I don’t see it as a problem.
