Player and podcasts not displaying properly

  • Hello,

    I am totally at a loss of what I can do to fix this….?
    Not only the audio player is not displaying properly, the format of the podcast listing itself is totally messed up.
    Wait. One more riddle: When I open the exact same page from the visual editor I use (right now I am using WPBakery), there, in WPBakery, the exact same page is showing up properly….????
    Same issue with any page that contains BluBerry/Powerpress short codes.
    I very much appreciate any help you could provide.

    Hello @jayma19,

    On your home page it appears that your theme is adding its own player, that green square with the rounded corners it not something PowerPress provides. Looking further into your site I see you are using the native HTML5 player option, which is very simple, it is an image you provide for a play button and when clicked, the html5 player is inserted in its place in the web page. This leads me to believe that your theme is adding a player on its own that is giving you this problem.

    Have you contacted your theme developer?

    Hello Angelo,

    Thank you for the pointers.
    No I have not contacted the developer of the Theme I am using.
    Yes, it looks like the HTML 5 player is messing up the formatting.
    I will contact the theme developer – Thank you for the suggestion.
    Looks like if I resolve this HTML player issue, that may clear all the formatting issues I currently have with podcasts not displaying properly on the Homepage.
