Play & Stop Audio (mp3) files with a Link or Button in WordPress Page

  • I have a requirement whereby i have to put certain buttons OR links on a page.

    Each link/button will point to an audio file.

    When each link or button is clicked, the corresponding audio file should play.

    Either same button or link should Play/Stop the playback. Pause functionality is not required.

    If it is not possible with same button or link, an additional link or button can be added to stop the audio.

    Need help as could not find any solution.

  • did you ever find a solution? I need the same thing. I can insert an audio clip directly into a text widget…but what shows on-screen is that ‘play’ bar…which extends full width of screen/widget of whichever size viewing screen…so some look ridiculously wide. If I’m understanding, you want what I want: for my customers to only see a simple ‘Play’ button, which they click, and that click opens up my audio file…where they can see full play bar and use it as they see fit
